Planning Main Product - Target Audience

I am doing a questionnaire so that I know what to put into my magazine and how to improve it. For this I will giving the questionnaires (below) to people I think will be part of my target audience. Once I have the questionnaires back I will be able to find out what kind of target audience I should be trying to appeal to.
I will give the questionnaire to 20 people in the age range of 13 - 18 and of both genders to give myself an accurate idea of who my target audience is.
For these questions people answered:
  1. The majority of people said 10-16.
  2. 7 people are male and 13 people are female.
  3. 20 people said that they do enjoy listening to music.
  4. 11 people said that they DO like popular music whereas 7 people said they DIDN'T and 2 people only said they like SOME artists/songs.
  5. The majority said that they listen to music everyday.
  6. The majority said that they would pick up my magazine every two weeks.
  7. 0 people said YES and 20 people said NO
  8. 16 people said YES and 4 people said NO
  9. "I don't like subscribing to magazines."
I have discovered that males around the age 13-20 are my target audience for my magazine.

This questionnaire (below) will be used to find out what I need to change or improve about my magazine. The questionnaires will be given to similar people as the first questionnaire as long as they still fit the target audience.

For these questions people answered:
  1. 17 people said YES and 3 people said NO
  2. Most people said that they would like to make the magazine more aimed towards males.
  3. A lot of people would like to see upcoming artists.
  4. Most people like how fun and upbeat it is.
  5. The majority said they would pay up to £5 for my magazine.
  6. Most people said that they would like to see projects that artists are currently working on.
  7. The greater part of the people asked said modern.
  8. The larger part said yes.
The improvements that I will be making are:
Aimed towards males, very modern and sophisticated.
