Planning Main Product - Representation

The different social groups I have represented are: Males, Females, 14 – 20 years old, want a leisure magazine, like pop music and enjoy magazines which have information on music, artists, clothes and events.

I have constructed these representations using san serif fonts, good looking subject, popular clothing on the subject, bright colours and enticing statements. These representations will bring in the target audience for my magazine.

San Serif Fonts – This shows people that the magazine is not a formal magazine and is for reading at leisure.

Good Looking Subject (14-20) – A subject that is between the ages of 14 to 20 and is generally good looking then this will attract people of this age range which is within my target audience. It may also attract those that just like the look of the subject.

Popular Fashion/Style – If the subject is wearing popular clothing then it will attract many people who like this sort of clothing that maybe are looking to find out what it is if they have never seen it before and be pulled in by the other aspects of the magazine.

Bright Colours – Bright Colours will catch the attention of almost any reader this will then allow the other aspects of the magazine to pull the target audience in and leave non-targets to be distracted again.

Enticing Statements – Enticing statements will also catch the attention of many people and could possible convince people who are not sure about buying the magazine to just go and buy it. It may also convince someone out of the target audience to buy the magazine as well.
