Final:
Making all the text down the left hand side bold gives the text a lot more weight, especially against the picture of my model. This allows people to make out the text from further away and stops it looking like there is a blank area next to my model. I also changed the issue number of the magazine because if the magazine was in it's first stage then I would be trying to establish the magazine, whereas I had created it as an already established magazine. Lastly I added a price and changed the 'Ash Hebb' titles to 'Ash Waithe' so that the audience could create a connection between he cover and both the contents and double page spread.
This is my final cover for my magazine because I believe that it is as close as I can get to the conventions set by professional magazines that I have analysed in this genre.
Draft 7:
Feedback:
I took the idea of having pink on the kicker from the fifth draft but applied it to the new kicker. this makes the kicker stand out a lot more. I then added pink to all of the bold 'pop' words (besides the masthead) so to make them pop out of the page as well as fitting my house-style.
Many of the stories down the left side are completely lost because of how thin the text is, so I am going to increase the 'weight' of the thin text so that they stand out and are more visible against my model. I am then going to create a standard for all the bold text by adding a pink shadow (which has already been done on some of the text).

Draft 6:
Feedback:
I have added social media links to appeal more to my target audience. I have also added an issue number which makes my magazine look more professional. Last of all I have added a glow and shadow to 'Ash Hebb' and the kicker so that these important parts are more prominent than the other objects on the page.
Draft 5:
Feedback:
The kicker needs to be different so it's more prominent on the page so I am going to things like a glow and shadow as well as change the colour so it looks more appealing and is easier to read. This cover also needs some social media links and an issue number.
Draft 4:
Feedback:
I have added a glow and shadow to my model so it stands out off of the background, this cover just needs a kicker and final touches.
Draft 3:
Feedback:
The masthead has been changed to a font which fits the 'pop style' and my target audience very well, as well as having having a new name, 'Fresh Pop', which associates the magazine with pop music more. This will make my magazine stand out more in a group of magazines. I have re-done the picture with a new model which has a costume which is closer to the pop style than the old one, however the person looks 2D and so will need a glow or more of a shadow to help bring it off of the page. The quote in the first box needs to be replaced with something else because it's not gripping enough for my target audience.
Draft 2:
Feedback:
This draft is just a small update from from the previous draft. I have made a slightly better background but I still doesn't job out of the page screaming pop magazine so that also needs to be improved. The name of the magazine is still 'Progress' which I will need to improve so that it's more prominent towards my target audience. The font for the masthead has been aimed more towards my target audience but needs to be more like the font from the 'Billboard' magazine.
Draft 1:
Feedback:
This cover is ok however it doesn't look at all like a pop magazine; the masthead and masthead font have no connection to pop culture or design. The background also doesn't resemble any other pop music magazines. To make my magazine better suited to my target audience I need to follow the conventions of another pop music magazine, one I would like to follow is 'Billboard'. I should get a better picture for the main focus as well because the one I have used is very 2D and has no connection to pop culture or style of costume/props.
